Kurt Vonnegut died. Slaughter House 5 & Sirens of Titan are two of my favorite novels. Funny sci-fi weirdness. here's a great obituary.
a little 'all roads lead to the grateful dead' trivia: jerry garcia was a big Vonnegut fan, he named his publishing company ice nine & he owned the rights to the sirens of titan- always wanted to turn it into a movie but I guess it never panned out...
